Obituary of Hildegard Bradley

Hildegard was born in Eudora, KS, September 12, 1915 to Mathias and Cecilia (Bichlmeier) Weinandt. As a child, she moved with her family to St. James, NE. Hilda attended nursing school at St. John Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, MO graduating in 1938. Hilda was joined in marriage to Paul Bradley, March 26, 1940. After their marriage, they lived in Illinois and later Whitewater, WI. Upon retirement in 1972, they moved to Canon City, CO. After Paul’s death, Hilda moved to Yankton, SD. Hilda will be remembered for her faith, the twinkle in her eye, her sense of humor and her beautiful knitting. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters. She was also a volunteer at Sacred Heart Hospital and Sister James nursing home. She is survived by two daughters, Teresa Bradley of Yankton and Kate Bradley of Sammamish, WA. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Leo and Marie Weinandt of Yankton, and brother-in-law, Walt Offner of Fenton, MO as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by five sisters and two brothers.
