Obituary of Angela E. Lindstrom

Angela was born May 11, 1919, at her parents’ farm home five miles west of Yankton, SD. She was the daughter of Joseph and Katherine (Bloch) Cwach.  She attended the rural schools and high school in Yankton County. She then received teacher training and taught in many of the rural 1-room schools in the Yankton area for 35 years.  She also taught in the Maxwell and Jamesville Colonies.  She was a dedicated teacher to many. She was a member of St. Benedict’s Church, St. Isadore Church Circle, and West Side Susan’s Extension Club. Upon retirement she enjoyed meeting for coffee with other retired teachers and friends.  Favorite pastimes included hunting for a bargain, bingo, bowling, trying new recipes and caring for her beloved cat, Snickers.

Angela married Marvin “Lindy” Lindstrom on September 11, 1941. They had two children, a daughter, Janet and a son, Jerry.

Survivors include granddaughters Anita (John) Kotz, Kelly (Colin) Farmbrough, Christie Brenner, Jodi Lindstrom; great grandchildren, Corey Kotz, Kyle Kotz, Lauren Brenner, and Max Brenner;  brother, Elmer Cwach; sister-in law, Leona Cwach , many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Marvin; daughter, Janet Divelbiss; son, Jerry Lindstrom; brothers, Clarence Cwach and Luvern Cwach, and sisters, Lorraine Dallas and Mavis Gaul.
