CONLIN ROSE MARY

Pallbearers are:  Karl Aanning, Aaron Gereaux, Justin Johnson, Brian Kleinschmit, David Kleinschmit, Jake Myers, Jeff Skovly and Joe Yaggie.

Rose was born on March 7th, 1955 in Fort Morgan, CO to George and Mercedes (Duman) Goedert.  She was their only daughter and their pride and joy.  The family later moved to Yankton, SD, where Rose lived the remainder of her childhood.  Rose graduated from Yankton High School in 1973.  While attending high school, she found her love of caring for others as a candy striper and nursing assistant at Sacred Heart Hospital and decided to become a nurse.  She graduated as an LPN from Southeast Area School of Practical Nursing in Sioux Falls, SD in 1975 and returned to work at Sacred Heart Hospital.  On June 13th, 1981 Rose married William (Bill) Glidden.  The two were blessed with three children, Matthew, Patrick, and Rebecca, and they were able to travel the world as a family while Bill studied abroad for his medical degree.  On September 14, 1989, Bill died suddenly and shortly after, Rose and her children moved back to Yankton to be closer to her parents.  Rose returned as an employee at Sacred Heart Hospital in 1990 then soon transferred to Sister James Care Center where she was employed until her death. She was happily remarried on June 3, 1994 to William (Kim) Conlin and they recently celebrated their 23rd year of marriage.

Rose enjoyed cooking, crafting, and playing board games and cards.  Spending time with friends and family was her favorite pastime.  She especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and they cherish all of their wonderful memories with her taking them to various fun events, playing cards and board games, and coloring for hours on end.  Being a grandmother was her greatest joy in life.

Rose will be dearly missed by so many, especially her husband, Kim Conlin of Yankton, SD; her children:  Matt Glidden of Yankton, SD, Patrick Glidden and his fiancé, Kasi Tomoskie of Havre, MT, and daughter, Becky Glidden and her fiancé, Duane Tolsma of Yankton, SD; her dearest friends, Gail and Emily Ryken of Yankton, SD and her grandchildren, Jamison and Layla Rogers of Yankton, SD, who were the light of her life.

Rose now rests in heaven with her first husband, Bill Glidden and her parents, George and Mercedes Goedert.
