Obituary of Kenneth O Harty

            Kenneth was born January 31, 1938 in Omaha, NE to Frank and Stella (Kocer) Harty.  He married Bernice Hartung on April 20, 1963 in Hoven, SD.  Kenneth worked in plumbing, heating and air conditioning for several places and on his own.  He loved to work with wood and refinishing furniture.  He enjoyed fishing and playing pinochle.  During his last years he suffered from Alzheimer’s and kidney disease. 

            Kenneth is survived by his wife, Bernice Harty of Yankton, SD; son, Tim of Grand Junction, CO and Kelly (Cindy) of Portage, WI; daughters, Teresa (Willard) Holan of Yankton, SD and Kristi Kleinschmit of Olathe, KS; five grandchildren:  Bailey Kleinschmit, Kaylee Kleinschmit, Dylan Harty, Alexis Harty and Devin Harty, brother, LeRoy (Elaine) Harty of Yankton, SD; daughter-in-law, Linda Harty and sisters-in-law, Allene Harty and Shirley Harty.

            Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Stella Harty; son, Kevin Harty; brothers, Jerome and Rex and sister, JoAnne.
