I remember the soft, kind demeanor of Leroy. His respectful disposition was always appreciated in any discussions we had throughout the years. Leroy, You were a child of God and now you can celebrate Joy and Peace every day in his presence. Praise the Lord!! To Elaine, children, and grandchildren, my heartfelt sympathy extends to you as you grieve life without this beloved man. May you know God's peace and protection as you walk through each memory filled with deep emotions. God loves you and has you in the palm of HIS hand through this chapter of your lives.

Thinking of LeRoy reminds me of so many things, such as do NOT call the house after 9pm when we were friends. He worked early and didn’t appreciate us calling on the landline (the only option!). I think of his handwriting and all his curls and swirls in his cursive signature. I think about the cars he drove and the delightful chats we would have when he came in to BS with the coffee guys at Paul’s. He was a great husband and dad. He worked so hard and set a great example for your family and others. Sorry we can’t make the services (darn COVID). We will watch via FB and celebrate his life with you. —Nancy Wenande

I worked at Gateway for the (Seems like 10 years), LeRoy and Thompson Electric was there working on the ever expanding buildings. LeRoy was an awesome guy. Everybody liked him. Palsy was right. When ever we saw LeRoy coming we would start smiling ahead of time because we knew he would have something for us, some funny joke, or saying, or story. You could count on it. Once you met LeRoy you would never forget him, Rest in peace my friend. Thad Utech, Vermillion SD.
