Later they retired in Lesterville where she lived until this past year when her health required her to move into assisted living in Yankton. She enjoyed baseball and watched the Twins faithfully. She was an active fan of the Lesterville Broncs and youth baseball teams. Evelyn was an excellent cook; if you stopped to visit, food was always on the table within minutes. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting many items especially for her grandchildren. She was a member of Ward Memorial Congregational Church until 1982 when the church closed and then a member of Scotland United Church of Christ.
