Obituary of Mary Ann O'Malley

Mary Ann O’Malley age 82 of Yankton passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at Avera Sister James Care Center, Yankton. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Rev. Larry Regynski officiating. Burial of her cremated remains will be in the Yankton Cemetery. Visitations will be 6-7 PM, Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at the Opsahl-Kostel Funeral Home and Crematory, Yankton with a 7 PM Prayer service. Mary Ann was born April 20, 1934 in Yankton, SD to John and Eldora (Cone) O’Malley. She was baptized and confirmed on December, 15, 2000 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She graduated from Yankton High School in 1952. Mary Ann, along with her mother, brother and sister, owned and operated Happy Jacks Supper Club in Yankton, SD. She was the chef forever. She loved golf, boating, gardening and cooking. Mary Ann is survived by her niece, Robyn Stucky of Yankton, SD; nephews: John O’Malley of Phoenix, AZ, Marty O’Malley of Las Vegas, NV and Tim O’Malley of Yankton, SD and sister, Betty Jean O’Malley of Yankton, SD. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents; 3 brothers: Larry O’Malley, Jack O’Malley and Shannon O’Malley; sister-in-law, Chris O’Malley and nephew, Jack O’Malley, Jr.
