Obituary of Glen R. Olson
Glen Richard Olson was born on October 23, 1949 to Herbert and Lucille (Paustian) Olson of Bloomfield NE. He graduated from Wausa High School in 1968 and attended Milford Technical University in Milford NE where he studied auto body. Glen married Linda Winterringer in November 1970. To this union a son, Bradley, was born. Glen worked for a period of time at Wudel Chevrolet and for Sorenson Trucking, both of Yankton. On June 3, 1977 Glen married the love of his life, Joyce Goeden Mauch. Through this union he gained a daughter, Dawn and later a son, Dustin. Glen worked for 38 1/2 years at Wilson Trailer of Yankton until he retired in January of 2016.
Glen loved to spend time with his family and friends and enjoyed camping. He was a great wood worker and could often be found in his garage working on a project. He loved to read western novels, watching old westerns and going to country concerts. Glen was a member of Midwest Riders and enjoyed going on poker runs.
Glen was loved and will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Joyce; three children: sons, Bradley (Michelle) Tronvold and Dustin (Sara) Olson; daughter, Dawn (Jeff) Alink; eleven grandchildren; one great grandchild and one on the way.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents; his mother and father in law; his
brother and a nephew.
