Obituary of Rodney F. Hauger

Rodney was born September 21, 1950 at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, SD to Leroy James Hauger and Delores Marie (McDonald) Hauger.  He was baptized and confirmed at St. Columba Church.  He attended Mayfield School, through the eighth grade and graduated from Irene High School in 1968.  Rodney then attended auto mechanic school in Denver, CO and met Linda K. Johnston.  They were married at Mother Cabrani Shrine in Golden, CO on September 20, 1973.  They had a daughter, Lisa Marie and one son, Kevin Paul.  They moved to Irene, SD in 1978.  He was a hardworking, self employed mechanic.  He owned and operated R&L Repair for 40 years.  He loved spending time with family and friends.  He enjoyed playing cards and taking his 1987 Chevrolet K-10 to car shows.  He also loved chocolate and ice cream.

Rodney is survived by his wife, Linda of Irene, SD; daughter, Lisa {Michael} Lange of Mission Hill, SD; son, Kevin (Sansa) Hauger of Irene, SD; 4 grandchildren:  Josh, Beth, Trevor and Tyler; mother, Delores McDonald of Yankton, SD; brothers:  Jim (Judy) Hauger of Irene, SD, Warren (Liz) Hauger of Stewartsville, MN and Terry (Diane) Hauger of Yankton, SD and sister, Lynda (Regie) Berger of Crofton, NE.

Rodney was preceded in death by his father, LeRoy Hauger.
