Obituary of Daniel E Zeeb

ZEEB DAN

            Dan Zeeb, age 61, of Menno, SD passed away unexpectedly at his home, Friday, May 10, 2019.

Daniel Emil Zeeb was born July 27th, 1957 to Emil and Elda (Huber) Zeeb. He was baptized August 25th, 1957 by Reverend Kaempchen and confirmed in his faith on April 4th, 1971 by Reverend Odenbach at Salem Reformed Church in Menno, SD.

Dan attended Olivet grade school for 1st and 2nd grade. The family then moved to Menno where he attended 3rd grade and the first half of 4th grade. After the family moved to the farm located northeast of Menno in 1966, Dan attended Huber Country School for the second half of 4th grade through 6th grade. After that school closed, Dan went to Menno Public School in 7th grade and graduated from Menno in 1975. Dan then continued his education at Mitchell Technical Institute and got his certification to be an Electrician.

Daniel met Jan Rademacher and was united in marriage in 1989. Jan brought 3 daughters into the marriage, Beckie, Jamie and Debra. In 1992 they decided to add another daughter to the mix, Michelle Rose.

Dan had various occupations and was a jack of all trades. He was employed by Mettler Fertilizer at the time of his death.

Dan is survived by his daughter, Michelle; step-daughters, Debra, Jamie and Beckie; his mother, Elda; twin sisters Patsy (Earl) Schnabel, Peggy (Steven) Mettler; nieces and nephews, Kristen (Jeremy) Baker, Tim (Erica) Friesen, Ryan (Stephanie) Friesen, Jennifer Friesen, Joel (Sarah) Mettler, Jason (Amanda) Mettler, Danette (Jason) Besley.  

Preceded in death by his father, Emil Zeeb; Michelle’s mother, Jan; brother-in-law, Don Friesen.
