Truly a remarkable human being. Educator of youth who took her responsibility seriously. Her students didn't want to let her down and she never failed her responsibility to any of them. I don't know it to be true, but I bet she never had a sick day, was never late and am certain she always did the right thing. Amazing person.

Florence Kribell was my mentor and lifelong friend. She jump started my academic life and gave me the confidence to compete in a variety of extracurricular activities, starting in seventh and eighth grade. In 2010, we began 14 years of lively and frequent correspondence. Her wisdom and friendship is one of my greatest blessings.
This is a quote from the song "For Good." It will always remind me of Miss Kribell and everything she has done for so many students as well as the members of her family.

Miss Kriball will always be a special memory in my life. She was 100% committed to helping me with any challenges I faced. Her love of teaching carried over into her daily life and she was loved and looked up to by many. My father told me she was the best teacher he ever had.

I taught with Florence at the Middle School, when it was on Walnut Street. I was in the Garfield School, next door, from 1970-1975. She was very highly respected, and was always the first in the building , each morning. She was very serious about her teaching, and students could sense that about her. She was very dedicated, and I learned from her. Florence will be missed, For years, I also enjoyed her waving at me on her way to church. We both smiled........ Craig Johnson

I remember Florence cooking for so many every Sunday. It was a full spread too. Remember having roast, potatoes, gravy, salads, pie... how did she do all that after cleaning and laundry all day Saturday???
