Obituary of Susan "Susie" Wilson
Susan Annette (Lowe) Wilson, 66, of Yankton, South Dakota, passed away on Thursday, October 10, 2024, at her home. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Susan was born June 2, 1958, to Beverly E. (Pike) and Richard “Dick” V. Lowe, in Long Beach, California joining her twin and two older siblings.
Susan was baptized at home at six weeks old and confirmed at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Lakewood, CA where the family attended. She completed her schooling graduating from Buena Park High School in 1976.
Her greatest achievement was being mom to her son Dane Lovelace, which was her pride and joy.
Susan loved the beach and being in the sun. She loved animals. She loved God, her family, and fought for those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Wilson, parents Richard and Beverly Lowe, nephew Brian Lykins, grandparents, aunts and uncles.
Survived by son Dane (Amber) Lovelace of Sioux Falls; Special friend Dan Havermann of Yankton; sister Leslie (Steve) Lykins of Castle Rock, CO.; brother Jeff (Char) Lowe of Faribault, MN.; twin sister Catheryne (Richard) Dickinson of Abilene, TX.; five grandchildren, three nieces, one nephew, and seven great nieces and nephews.
