Judy Ann VonEye, age 62, of Menno, SD passed away early Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the Menno-Olivet Care Center, Menno, SD. Funeral services will 10:30 AM, Monday, October 27, 2014 at Salem Reformed Church, Menno, with Rev. Michael Hecht officiating. Burial will be in the Menno Cemetery. Visitations will be 1 to 3 PM, Sunday, October 26, 2014 at the Aisenbrey-Opsahl-Kostel Memorial Chapel, Menno, SD. Visitations will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
Judy was born May 16, 1952 in Yankton, SD to LaVerne and Hulda (Kirschenman) Mensch and was baptized and confirmed at Salem Reformed Church. Judy graduated from Menno High School in 1970 and attended college at University of South Dakota at Springfield SD. She graduated in 1972 with a Secretarial Degree. She married and lived in Sioux Falls for several years before moving back to Menno where she started working at the MOCC as a dietary aide for many years with a smile on her face. Judy was active in the choir in church. She loved and cherished her dog "Babes".
Those who will cherish her memory, her mother, Hulda Mensch of Menno SD; brother, Roger Mensch of Menno SD; nieces: Angela Ackerman, Vickie Mensch-Geuther, Connie Derousseau; nephew, Curtis Mensch (Karla); ten great niece and nephews: Sheila Sturges, Andrea Sturges, Sarah Ackerman, Sandra Geuther, Kayla Landry (David), Cody Geuther, Alicia Geuther, Brady Geuther, Sabrina Mensch and Samantha Mensch; three great nieces and nephews: Lorinda Pettyjohn, Austin Pettyjohn, Chase Blair and Daxcyn Landry.
She was preceded in death by her father.
